Over the years I've come to stop believing in goal setting. Why? Because goal setting, or at least the way most of us are trained to do it, actually gets us to be obsessed about the how of attaining our goals, rather than the passion, the vision, and the beauty of the goal itself. In short, we get obsessed with the 'means', rather than the 'end'.

And this is why so many of us wake up at the age of 40 one day, dreading going to work because we were forced to pick a career before we could legally buy a beer.

we are going to change the way you think about goal setting. We are going to present to you the 3 most important questions to ask yourself. If everyone asked themselves these questions at the age of 18, we believe the world would be a much happier place. But no matter how old you are, it's not too late.

3 QUESTIONS ARE -- WHAT DO YOU WISH TO EXPERIEANCE
HOW DO YOU WANT TO GROW AS A PERSON
WHAT DO YOU WISH TO CONTRIBUTE

I remember when i was 21years old sitting at a Leadership summit with my first MLM company - I was their with a team of over 400 people at this convention - things were looking promising for us all. I said finally, I'm going to be able to afford things, and one day buy my mom that home she always wanted. But then murphy's law came to sit right beside me, we got news that one of our friends who we all grew up with who was suppose to be at that event with us, was gunned down for being in the wrong place at the wrong time back home. I remember my up-line who was on stage accepting her award, she got the text that her brother was murdered and I watching her break down  - It was devastating for all of us - long story short 400 associates went down to zero - and so did our incomes -

3 months later , I decided to go to my company's weekly meeting - I still remember the date - it was Nov 2007 - The company flew in a guest speaker and as i was sitting in the back with my arms folded , i began to think to myself "Andrew why are you even here" I felt that it was impossible to rebuild an organization that size again , their is no more momentum , I talked to everyone i knew - everyone quit- no one's taking my calls-I started to think, that maybe network marketing was not for me -  The speaker arrived, and the first thing he said was - " 6 months from now, more than half of you wont be here- more than half of you will quit - and when you're thinking of quitting, remember this - Every great work, every big accomplishment, has been brought into manifestation through holding to the vision, and often just before the big achievement, comes apparent failure and discouragement."

What came to mind was that story 3 feet from gold in the book think and grow rich where the two men gave up because it was too hard to find their treasure , but all they needed to do was move 3 feet to the left and they would have found what they were looking for - Sometimes, all we need to do is move and adjust so we can keep on keeping on.

I brushed myself off- went home and rebuilt my team and that month was my BEST month, I ranked advanced and got to speak at the next company group convention received my first medal for leadership and from then on - I was sold on this industry!

I don't know what your going through or what your facing - but I know this- you have greatness within you -  and you will never raise to your potential until the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of changing - It was hard for me to get back into the game - but the alternative was worse.

God is not a respecter of persons, if he can do it for me, he will do it for you!

Building a Customer Base

Let me ask you a question: do you think it is easier to sell your product or services to a complete stranger or to a person you have had contact before; whether it's an email conversation, forum participation or even an existing customer relationship (i.e. He has bought something from you). Without doubt, it would be harder to sell to a total stranger who does not know whether or not you are an honest seller, and whether or not they should trust your words and believe that your product or services will truly benefit them.

This is precisely why you should build up a customer base -- a group of people who trust you and will most likely buy a product that you offer to them. This will ensure that you have a recurring and consistent source of income. When you release a product or make an endorsement, you have a group of people always ready to hear what you have to say.

There are several sources that you can tap into to start building a customer base. For example, you can participate in an online discussion forum and give advice and help for free. It won't be long before people start to recognise your name and stop and listen everytime you have something to say. You will become a valuable friend and teacher, and gain the trust of these people. Would you buy something your close friend recommends?

Another way to build a customer base is to build a mailing list. There are a gazillion methods to collect subscribers, but when it's boiled down to the very essence, it's all about proving your value to the crowd and offering an incentive to make people become part of your mailing list. A typical example would be a website choke-full of freely available, helpful and quality articles on a certain subject plus a "special report" that can be downloaded for free provided you give your email address. The rich content provides value, and the "special report" is the extra incentive.

Yet another source for your customer base, which is often forgotten, is your existing customers. If you bought this product from this particular person and he answered patiently to your every question, would you buy from him again in the future? Definitely. When a customer has given you his money, that's not the end of the affair because by keeping in touch with him and developing a flourishing relationship with him, you will have a lifetime source of income.

Imagine if 100, 1000 or even 10000 customers are waiting to grab your newest products even before they are released! Hence, it's vital to build a customer base because it simply saves a lot of time and effort.

I just had to post Eric's video - I see this way to often in this industry and it kills me. Here is why -
Everyone has a path to success, my path and my company may not be your path. How many top leaders including Eric, were with dozens of other companies that they all failed at? Many! that 1st company they were with, I’m sure it was a good company, so why didn’t they become a success with those companies... well I strongly believe in destiny - and that things happen for a reason and at the right time -"Gods Delays are Not Gods Denial" God may have wanted them in another company that fit who they were as a person and was in line with their values  and vision- I'm sure when they left those companies that were not working for them, the top earners in that company may have looked at them as quitters or failures - which is so not fair.

Many leaders try to make you feel like you owe it to the company to stay loyal and stick it out - we owe our companies NOTHING , the only agreement we have with them is that if I produce you pay me and if my team produces, you pay them. That’s it...  In the company presentation they said if I do XYZ they will pay me x amount, not a penny more – The company only exist for that reason - Some "leaders" make it seem as if we again owe the company for providing us the opportunity to change our lives --that's BS -- If you go out there and make 7 figures with your company, it's not the company that did it for you, it's you and your team that made that possible -

So I'm loyal to my team not my company cause companies come and go , I'm loyal to the people on my team that help me produce the results.  So before you start wearing your company T-shit and drinking the Tuesday night meeting cool-aid, - laying your life down for the CEO of your company or the Master distributor - think about that - I never once at a convention was waving my company flag, I waved my own flag, my teams flag - I came into Network marketing with a vision as to what I can use it for – and if your company or up line is trying to sell you on being loyal RUN!

They should be selling you on being loyal to your vision – I tell prospects, this may or may not be for you. Go to the website and check out our mission statement, and if it’s in line with your own personal vision then it may be for you, and if it is let’s go! Now if you don’t have a vision for your life yet, it’s ok, you can always borrow someone else’s until yours kicks in, but when it does, remain loyal to it

Cedric Harris top MLM guru – made over a million with Body Vi – he recently left the company cause he had a vision bigger then his company bigger then network marketing– people called him a quitter – I call him a winner!

Don’t look to the right or to the left. Keep your eyes, your mind and your energy focused on reaching your goal. There will be many distractions designed to derail your dream. Sometimes people close to you will try to sabotage you because of jealousy, insecurity or simply a lack of vision.

Use your head and not your emotions to protect yourself and make the right moves. Don’t panic or get angry. Broaden your efforts to get ahead and strengthen your resolve. There is no stopping you now. You’re on the move! You have GREATNESS within you.  "LB"

6 Keys To Self Motivation Self Mastery One of the things we MUST alway be working on is achieving Self Mastery.

You must work on yourself continuously, never be satisfied with yourself. Always know that as you invest the time and effort on you that’s the greatest ability that human beings have above animals. A dog can’t be anything but a dog, a tree can’t be anything but a tree.

Human being you’ve got unlimited potential, you can put effort on you, and by concentrating on you and developing you, you can transform your life no matter where you are right now.

Stop Settling Most people settle, What have you settled for lately? You know when you make an out of court settlement that means that you have decided to take something less than you originally wanted to get had you gone in to court and the reason that you’ve settled out side of court is because you didn’t believe that you could get it. Many of us are making an ‘In life Settlement’. We are settling for less than what we actually deserve. We don’t feel good about it but we make it work in our minds.

Develop A Health Plan You can’t perform if you don’t have good health, your health is VALUABLE. Develop a health plan, a plan that you will follow because this is the only vehicle that you have to carry you through this experience we call LIFE.

Live Life with Energy & Passion You want to make a conscious effort to be lively. In life you either ‘sing hello or sing goodbye’. You are either ‘on your way or in the way’. You want to smile, you want to be happy, you’ve got a lot to be thankful for.

Monitor Your Inner Conversations The things that you say to yourself, you want to watch them and in watching them you want to take charge.

Short circuit and override that conversation that’s always going on, 85% of what that conversation will tell you is NEGATIVE. It will tell you that you’re tired when you’re really not tired, it will tell you you can’t do it, it will fill you with FEAR. So you’ve got to watch that conversation, and when you find it going on you’ve got to stand up to it and say “I’m gonna do this anyhow, I’m afraid but I’m afraid not to do it, and I’m not gonna let you stop me”. The biggest challenge in life that you will have is with you.

There is an old African Proverb that says, “When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.”

Know Why You Are Doing It It is important to know why you are doing it, because your mind will say “Why bother?” “Why go through all of this?”, “This is too hard”.

Here’s how you can override that… Write down 5 reasons why you deserve it, why you? why do you deserve it? “What meaning and value will it bring to your life”, “what’s so different about you, that you deserve your goal?”

When you write down those 5 reasons, when you have those down moments and you will have them, When that conversation starts talking to you, and it will start talking to you, what you can do is, you can pull that out and read it and it will build you up. It will be your rod and your staff to comfort you through some challenging moments, because you’re gonna have some. Life will knock you between the eyes, it will catch you on the blind side and come out of nowhere, stuff you can’t anticipate. That’s why it is important for you to work on your self, listening to tapes, building yourself up, talking to yourself with power, feeling and conviction, building yourself up day in and day out.

The Importance of Overdelivering

As an online merchant, your customers cannot see your face. They cannot hear your voice when you are recommending your products, and they cannot see the emotions on your face when you are telling your customers what benefits they can derive out of your products.

The Internet is a level playing field for every Internet marketer and merchant out there. The sheer connectivity means that you can reach every individual in the world. You are not limited by geographic constraints and anyone can be your customer or client.

This is precisely why you should overdeliver. When every competitor of yours has access to everyone in the market, your only way of winning the battle is to overdeliver, again and again. When you   overdeliver, you present yourself as a person with the customer’s interest at heart. You become a trusted friend and not a greed-driven marketer out looking for their money. Overdelivering is simply your only way to differentiate yourself from your competitors.

You can start overdelivering by providing superb support for your customers. How many times have you been turned away with rude answers when asking about a certain product you purchased? Compare that with the number of times you have been provided very good service, as if you're being helped by a personal friend. The ratio is just off balance, proving how scarce good customer support is. By providing excellent support to your customers and answering to their every needs patiently, you will gain customers that are fiercely loyal to you because they know you have their best interest at heart.

When you provide excellent customer support, you're already ahead of most of your competitors. Take it a step further and think: in what other ways can you over deliver to your customers?

One very good way is to give your customers a pleasant surprise when they make a purchase from you. For example, if a customer buys your cooking utensils, you might throw in a bonus recipe book for them. However, do not use the bonus as an incentive for the customer to buy your products. Your products must be good enough to make the customer buy it in the first place, and the bonus must serve as a surprise element; you must not announce it in the product catalogue.

The final way is to build a long-lasting relationship with your customers. If a customer buys regularly from you, you should send greeting cards during birthdays and on every holiday, be it Christmas, New Year, Easter, even Chinese New Year! Your customer will again remember you as a friend, not a business associate, and will favour you above other merchants because of the warm relationship.

So, remember to start overdelivering today!
